Market capitalization occurs when someone is willing to pay a certain price for something and that price is multiplied by the total quantity of that good. Let’s take Bitcoin as an example: to calculate Bitcoin’s market capitalization, you should multiply the current price of $68,352 by the maximum amount of 21,000,000 BTC. However, not all 21 million Bitcoins are in circulation. Therefore, the number of coins being already in circulation is used, which is currently 19,700,412 BTC. So, the following calculation applies: 19,700,412 BTC x 68,352 USD, which currently is the market capitalization of Bitcoin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the case of GCWine it is similar, but, since all the GCWine tokens are already in circulation, you should multiply the price by the total supply of 105,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 GCWine tokens. Consequently, this is how the market cap (i.e. capitalization) of the GCW token is calculated: the current price $0.00000000000004878 x 105,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 GCW, which is currently about $5 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the price of GCWine increases, the market capitalization also increases. For example, if GCW costs $0.00000000000008, GCWine’s market cap will increase to $8.4 billion. However, it is not necessary to buy $3.4 billion worth of GCWine tokens to reach such a market cap. Often, buying just a few hundred, a few thousand or million USDs\u2019 worth of a crypto asset is enough for the crypto asset\u2019s value to increase this way. Thus, the exact number cannot be predicted. Everything depends on the market and the principle of demand&supply.
